Congratulations, it's a bouncing baby.. book!
This is Damian.
This is the book cover he drew for me.
I wrote a book about the history of Homestead Bicycles, the making of 30 Bikes, and some tips on low-budget filmmaking.
This is the comic strip he illustrated from 1979-1992. It was a huge part of BMX in the 1980's and was featured every month in the back of the magazine BMX Plus!
There are more pages than I thought I could write (165)!
After making a movie, sleeping on couches, and writing a book, do I have the energy now to spend and the months of rejection it might take to find a publisher?
No.
But also yes.

Almost a wrap
Are we really almost done? With this crazy year? This 2020 nightmare might actually be ending?! It sure appears that way, unless some world government emerges that wants to extend the year beyond December 31st. Could it happen? At this point I wouldn't be surprised at anything.
I have been up and down and all around - I've been up on the mountain of momentum signing autographs and planning movie screenings, down in the depths of social isolation and the reality of lost friends, and free of arbitrary rules as I traversed the United States.
Twice.
But I'm grateful for friends and family, I'm more focused on actions and results, and I'm thankful I'm still alive and questioning.
I'm also happier than I've been in years.
How has 2020 been for you?
